1968 Ford Ranger

Classic Car Addict is excited to present this 1968 Ford F100 Ranger for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. The fifth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from the 1967 to 1972 model years. Built on the same platform as the fourth generation F-series trucks, the fifth generation had sharper styling lines, a larger cab, and expanded engine options. The exterior gives you the right classic style with clean body lines, correct Ranger badging, and it’s RUST FREE! The front grille was sprayed in matte black, and the rest of the Ford was sprayed in a matte silver. Bringing up the rear is another nice bumper, and a Ford logo embossed in the silver tailgate. Dual chrome exhaust tips peek out from below. The bed remains nice, it was painted in matte black as well (could use a respray or you could Rhino line it). The Ford rolls on 16-inch Eagle rims and Cooper tires (245/75R16). The details show a truck that's made to be a driver, and the interior continues this theme. The gray conversion seats are in excellent condition with no tears or even wear showing. There is also more room for you to enjoy because the fuel cell has been relocated to the bed. There are more upgrades for comfort like an armrest center console, cup holders, tinted windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The black carpet is also in excellent condition. Let’s not forget that you have a great truck that has cold AC! The engine bay has a classic clean black style, but the extra-bold blue presentation in the middle tells you they made a solid investment in the 390 cubic-inch V8. The V8 resides in the cavernous engine bay which powers a C6 3-speed automatic transmission with the help of a 4-barrel carburetor. A Ford 9-inch 3.25 geared rear puts power to the blacktop. This truck shows very well underneath, no rust. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers expels burnt fossils to the rear of the truck and power front disc brakes work in conjunction with rear power drums for the stopping of this big rig. A twin I-beam and coil spring front suspension gives a nice ride and for the rear we see traditional leaf springs. Nice and tidy would describe the undercarriage best. A quick starter, and smooth idler, a tickle of the gas pedal and we're off! This truck runs very nicely, shifts smoothly, corners nicely, and has a smooth ride.
